      Setup is not as straight forward...

      Downloading installation software then install was easy. Getting the Bluetooth to pickup signal was not easy. Lack of instruction for troubleshooting did not help. After searching the web for answer, was able to resolve issue, then everything worked. Installed on Window 7.

      Not 100% Windows 10 compatible

      I purchased this IOGEAR BT 4.0 unit because on their website it has the firmware for Windows 10. It is not, however, 100% Windows 10 compatible. I contacted IOGEAR when the firmware kept crashing my computer and to start with, they offered no help at all. After pushing for an answer they admitted that if the PC was upgraded from Win 7 or Win 8.1 to Win 10, then there were some problems with some users. A quick Google search showed more than a few users have the same trouble as me. A fresh install of Windows 10 is the only solution in MANY cases (and is a P.I.T.A. to do). IOGEAR declined to RMA the dongle and I am now left footing the bill for a component that does not work. The kicker is, IOGEAR know about this issue but have posted no warnings at all. I would not recommend buying ...

      Excellent Bluetooth Product, Cost Effective Purchase

      We were surprised by the quickness and ease of installation on our W8 HP laptop. The IOGEAR Bluetooth Donge worked as advertised and both the laptop and smart phone were able to communicate with one another within a few minutes. The signal strength is excellent and the music we stream can be heard on either device clearly and as loud as we want. This has been a superb purchase.

      Add bluetooth to your PC

      The good: It works on both Win10 and Win11. The bad: Nothing bad really, it's just not as powerful as the embedded bluetooth in my TV or TSR-700 receiver. Stay within 50 feet and direct line of sight and it works perfectly. Walk into another room or step behind an obstruction and it'll start cutting out.

      Worked great

      I used this on windows 10 to use a bluetooth stereo for computer speakers. I did have to go into the control panel to let the computer know what I wanted , but it was easy and quick. I don't have a blue tooth printer so cant comment on that. I don't like wires and have eliminated speakers , keyboard and mouse so far.
