Perfect fit for a USA Les Paul, NO MODS NECESSARY. Comes with both metric and imperial posts. Easily adjusts for pole alignment.Absolutely FIXED the problem of Gibson LP Consistently going OUT OF TUNE. I was going to sell my guitar prior to this investment. The TONE of my instrument is surprisingly much brighter and keeps sustain longer. Worth it's weight in GOLD. Should be a STANDARD ITEM ON ALL GUITARS. Installation was a Breeze
As it turns out I placed this bridge on a Washburn HB 35 a ES 335 copy instead of a Gibson it was very easy and fits like a dream. My guitar had holes tap for 5/16 course thread bolts instead of removing those and glueing in a dowel and redriling I simply put the new mounts directly in my old ones and carefully hammered them in/ the spacing which you will have to check was perfect to fir the Schaller Bridge. Great hardware
I replaced the original Tuneomatic bridge on my Epiphone Les Paul as part of an overall hardware upgrade project and this Schaller hardware is excellent. It's well designed and engineered. Les Paul guitars can be finicky when it comes to maintaining the intonation. The idea of using adjustable rollers seemed like a better idea than the sharp V-shape grooves used on a Tuneomatic. This bridge solved that problem but also the issue of the strings contacting the back edge my old bridge from the tailpiece. This bridge is not only adjustable vertically for setting the action, back and forward for intonation, it also allows for fine side-to-side adjustment between each string, so they can be lined up perfectly. After my initial setup, I re-checked the intonation and it remains perfect. Every ... Yes, I own a beloved '79 Les Paul Custom, the original T.O.M. bridge was dented beyond the imaginable, i tried with an equivalent roller bridges, lots of trouble, I read about this bridge (the Schaller one) , so I gave it a chance, couldn't be better , the string spacing and intonation settings becomes a breeze, there are cheaper ones, but this is the real deal, wish Gibson starts using these. get one, You can't go wrong. These bridges work well, but are a pain to install. They are not drop in. You have to drill holes. I have the tools to do this and have done it in the past. If you do not know what you are doing, you stand a good chance of ruining your guitar. Once installed properly they work very well. Just be advised that these are not drop in parts. And you still have to strobe tune the bridge for intonation. Again better know what you are doing.These bridges work well, but are a pain to install. They are not drop in. You have to drill holes.
