Reviews
Working with Brad for the past three years has helped me get much stronger, allowing me to make it to the next level. Thanks to Brad's training I can now compete with the best in the world every time I race." -Dathan Ritzenhein, two-time Olympian "Brad's training has elevated my running to heights I daydreamed about as a high school kid. Not only is his training innovative, he's a phenomenal motivator." -James Carney, 2008 U.S.A. Half-Marathon Champion "Brad understands the entire training package and all its components better than any coach I've worked with, athletically or professionally. Reading this book can help take you to the next level and keep pushing you up as far and fast as you want to go." -Sarah Toland, former NCAA All-American, U.S.A. National Cross-Country Team member, and Olympic Trials qualifier for the 5,000 and 10,000 "Brad Hudson's years of personal elite training experience, combined with his wide spectrum of training influences, has catapulted him into a class of American coaching that has typically consisted of archaic, iron-fisted coaching systems. He has the ability and openmindedness to return U.S. distance running to prominence." -Casey Burchill, 28-minute 10K runner, Working with Brad for the past three years has helped me get much stronger, allowing me to make it to the next level. • Great for competitive runners

This book has been awesome so far. Hudson outlines his philosophies very well in this book, jam packed with examples and reasoning. While the content is heavy (good deal of jargon, textbook feel), if you are semi familiar with distance training principles, you should be fine. Definitely going to incorporate a good deal of his training into my next cycle. Nothing groundbreaking, but a refreshing look at distance training as being adaptive. Would recommend!

  • Very useful book for training

It's a very useful and complete book to make a better run training. This book tells you how your running train must be. Does not tell you how you must run itself, if you already know how to run (balance, body position, etc) this book will improve in your training. It's quite cheap for what you are buying.

  • Get this book

This book breaks things down into specifics without overwhelming you with jargon. This is in the category of Dr. Jack Daniels book and can be used just as effectively. If you want to run faster or coach someone to run faster, then buy this book.I own 40+ running books and this one is easily in the top 5 as far as what I learned from it.
