The best of the Goosebumps short story collections.
Hitting stores during the height of Goosebumps' popularity, this first of several short story collections is one I never owned until now. I saw it as a kid and wanted it but never got it. Fueled by nostalgia, I decided to buy it. It's a neat enough little collection. The best of the bunch is probably Teacher's Pet. It's also the only one of the books whose cover art doesn't feature Curly, Goosebumps' kinda-sorta mascot. R.L. Stine does wonderful "scary" books for younger children (great for preteens and younger). While the books can send shivers up your spine, books like this are not TOO scary for younger children to read. Plus there is so many in the Goosebumps books set that there is a lot of reading ahead for your child if they do like them. This book includes ten stories: The House of No Return, Teacher's Pet, Strained Peas, Strangers in the Wood, Good Friends, How I Won My Bat, Mr. Teddy, Click, Broken Dolls, and A Vampire In The Neighborhood.
