    Political Intrigue and romance

    Iris Johansen when she was on the TOP of the romance writing rung of the ladder. I really enjoyed the political intrigue of this piece. However, I felt the heroine overshadowed the hero in this book. I mean he was great and everything, but she was just LARGER THAN LIFE (much larger than HE was). I was very used to the HERO taking center stage in Ms. Johansen's piece and have always enjoyed the ALPHA (yet sensitive) males she portrays in her stories. Still a good read.
