Wonderful Horror Game
The game has it's good and bad moments just like any other game, the thing that annoys me the most of this game is that Jason can kill you so easily and it seems like most of those who play the killer can find you extremely easily, it may be 8 players but it after he kills off a few it's basically down to you and him if you haven't already been killed, and he's pretty OP. The good points of the game is that you have plenty of players if you can locate them and if they're decent then you may be able to devise a plan to trap the killer and each take turns whacking at him to kill him. Other than the possibility of being able to kill the killer and that you have him outnumber, you also have weapons to fight back. All in all it seems to be a fair game that had plenty of time put into making ... Fun game that serves the genre well!
This game does a good job of hitting on the things that made the franchise so good. Blood, gore, jump scares and over the top violence! My only real comaint is no real walkthrough to learn the game.

I could probably come up a lot of adjectives to describe Friday the 13th, but I’ll settle for just one: BROKEN. It is indisputably the most buggy game I’ve played in years. Since it was released last year, Gun Media developers have attempted to patch the game with updates addressing an array of game-breaking bugs. Among these include glitches that let players teleport to the rooftops, get pinned underneath piers, and murder your own teammates, the latter which led to widespread griefing. If you play as Jason, expect just as much frustration. In the middle of a match playing as Jason, my buttons completely quit working other than the joystick, so I could only play ‘hide and seek’ with everyone instead of murder them. When Jason actually does work, chances are good you’ll kill a counselor ... I could probably come up a lot of adjectives to describe Friday the 13th, but I’ll settle for just one: BROKEN. When Jason actually does work, chances are good you’ll kill a counselor and their body will turn into a ragdoll and rocket into the air because their physics engine is a joke. Staying connected to a match is more than a challenge. The servers do not attempt to find another host from the available connections when a host leaves the game (unlike most other multiplayer games). Your game will end abruptly and you’ll lose all the XP you worked hard to acquire. This happens very, very often. Even without the outstanding bugs, there are some frustrating gameplay mechanics that could be better. Hiding from Jason is useless since he has the ability to see buildings where people are hiding and if it isn’t a huge lodge he will easily find you. If it’s a tent or outhouse then you’re screwed. When it works it’s a fun game that keeps the adrenaline pumping. The developers have promised a single player update “later this summer” but since its nearly an entire year later I’m thinking that’s still in alpha (I don’t think it’s ever going to be released). As it stands this is not a $40 title (current price at most retailers) and is probably worth $20 tops. The graphics are not really that good for a game released in 2017. Gun Media has been aware of bounding box glitches for most of the game’s retail lifespan but as a counselor it is still (as of Feb 2018) possible to climb on top of bookshelves and rafters out of Jason’s reach. They seem to fix one thing and break three other things. If you can withstand some occasional frustration, this can be a fun game.
