About this product

Product Information

In this classic work, internationally known Viennese psychiatrist Viktor E. Frankl, founder of the school of logotherapy, sets forth the principles of existential psychiatry. He holds that man's search for meaning in existence is a primary facet of his being; if the search is unrequited, it leads to neurosis. The role of the therapist, then, is to help the patient discover a purposefulness in life.

  • Perhaps more suited for the professional

I loved reading "Man's search for meaning" thought I would like this too! However, this one was more clinical, perhaps more geared towards professional psychology. I am interested in the book purely as a self help. If you are like me, read "Man's search for meaning" first- this one goes farther in to Logotherapy and may leave the layman behind. On the bright side, there is much that can be learned from reading and digesting this book.
