  • An interesting listen, not too bad!

The new album seems to be a little more kickback than their previous self-titled album. If you thought Audioslave was mellow before, kick it down a few notches and you'll end up with Out of Exile. Quite a few of the songs were repetitive on this record; it was almost like if you played the whole album and meshed all the tracks together, it would sound like the same song. There are a few differences, and a few songs that have good beats. But I wasn't really into this album. One thing that piqued my interest is a campaign one of the band members started. Guitarist Tom Morello started an organization called Axis of Justice that fights for peace and human rights. (Co-founder of Axis of Justice is System of a Down lead singer Serj Tankian.) I'm amazed at some of the things Audioslave has done ...

  • A Successful Sound Returns Unblemished

Some people thing that Audioslave's second album was geared more towards the radio, perhaps a bit more pop-ish or more toned down from it's previous release. I say it's the same exact stuff, with just different songs. The band really didn't change their style, their sound, their presentation - it's just new songs on a new CD. If you enjoyed their first album, then you will have no problem enjoying this one too. They have the same musical presentation and the same great vocals. One thing that's great about Audioslave is that their vocals aren't the same regurgitated crap you hear other bands on the radio singing about. Also, their sound tends to fluctuate between various genres. At times, Audislave can have a jazzy sound, perhaps a heavy sound, a pop sound or even a funk kinda sound. They ...

  • Good bass and lyrics!

This band sounds very good.I love the bass and electric guitar. The songs(about 12 of them)are pretty good too.Really liked track 2,3,5,7,and 9 so far.It sounds a little like the last album but that's what happens to many great bands. You could even say this about the RHCP or the Beatles,Doors,Rolling Stones and so on.When you have a unique sound sometimes some of your songs sound a little alike.I have nothing bad to say about this album just go out and buy it if you're a rock fan.If you have not picked up their last album you should it's pretty good too.

  • Great Rock & Roll

This is really good music. Sounds familiar yet, unique. Nobody does this style better than Audioslave.

  • Second as great as first

I like the whole cd in general. The tom morello with the guitar takes the cd to a whole new level. Chris Cornell is spectaular in the vocal aspect of it. Tom is gives a nice touch to each song. Brad knows how to captivate the listener. I would say the best song in the album is be yourself, the song is packed with everything awesome vocals, lyrics, guitar, bass, and drums. I bought this cd because I am a fan of audioslave i bought their first cd and i loved it, so i decided to check their second one.
