The protection this offers is nominal and only covers the underneath portion below the hatch door. The supplied 3Mish tape barely adheres to the bumper even after prepping the area. I had to use a heat gun to get the tape to stick. The strip adds a bit of customization albeit, only when the hatch is open you’ll see it. The thin metal probably wouldn’t stand up to much
