    A very very extraordinary cookbook!

This is a beautiful keepsake book-i bought it for my friend-and almost don't want to part with it. The recipes are marvelous and the photographs are just wonderful-what a surprise. This turned out to be a whole lot more than I expected and I know that my friend is just going to LOVE it!

  • "Cooking for Madam" by Marta Sgubin, Nancy Nicholas

As a person who collects special cookbooks and thinks back fondly on the days of "Camelot", I had to have this cookbook. This book is well written and does, indeed, offer some insight in to the real Jackie Kennedy and how she operated. It includes some personal notes to her cook(chef), Marta, complimenting for Marta for particular meals. This shows a side of Jackie that I found touching and thoughtful. You will enjoy Marta's take on food temperatures and why she thinks refrigeration makes vegetables and fruits "shiver". Most of the recipes are simple, and though more gourmet oriented, easily made. Imagine your guests' surprise when you tell them they just had one of Jackie Kennedy's favorite personal recipes from her chef!

  • Best of Everything

I was interested in Jacqueline Kennedy and her life, and this is why I bought the book, but was pleasantly surprised by the author's tasty comfort-food recipes, and could see why Marta fit into the family of the former first lady. There were plenty of family pictures in a relaxed home setting, most not seen before. She also rose to the occasion to help to entertain both in New York and Skorpios, by striving to concoct dishes that pleased all ages.

  • Fun to read and have, recipes are easy to follow and some tips are new to me, classic home cooking

This is a fun cookbook as it is part recipes, part memoir and part historical narrative. I enjoyed reading about the meals prepared for Jackie Onassis Kennedy

  • Very Interesting

Very good read from someone so close to family, insight into how kind Jackie was and how she raised her children to be the same. Good recipes also.
