I think that the greatest strengths are that it is clear (written in a student-friendly language), relatively concise, and provides a good coverage of what I think students need to know about principles of economics. I think that the style of the text is personable and is easy for students to read without being condescending. In terms of the coverage, as I noted above, we cover the entire text in my one-semester class, and cover just about exactly the entire text - no more, and only a little (two chapters)|9780324224726|, "I find navigation process very simple. I am very impressed with Meet your tutor ' Master the Learning Objectives section (that is so well planned out and organized). If students are having problems with any of the material and they're serious about being successful in this class, it is impossible for them not to understand the material after doing suggested activities in this section. "Ask the Author" video clips are interesting and clever. Fast shipping and good price. Item as described. One small complaint: the CD was mailed in a thin plastic envelope without no bubble wrap, so it arrived with a cracked case that I had to replace. And when I sent a message to the seller with a photo of the damage, I didn't get a response.

  • BOOK I NEEDED FOR MY CLASS AT SEVERAL DOLLARS LESS

the reason i decided to buy this book is i've saved hundreds of dollars purchasing brand new "International edition" softcover books. they maybe softcover, have different isbn & cover page design from U.S. edition book but everything else is the same. WITH ANY BOOK YOU PURCHASE, just be sure to check your buying the correct title, author, and the EDITION you need for your class. i've seen as many as three or four different design covers for the same book. as far as reviewing the content of the book, it's the book i needed for my class and i was happy to have a new book that cost several dollars less than the u.s. edition book. NOTE: BE SURE TO GET THE BOOKS YOU NEED FOR THE SEMESTER AS FAR IN ADVANCE AS POSSIBLE. DON'T ORDER ON THE DAY THE CLASS STARTS AND EXPECT TO GET IT THE NEXT ...

  • Principles of Economics

If u like the work of Alfred Marshall in the 19th century u will love this book. Questions like what determines price -- is it simply supply & demand or is based on economic scarcity ? If u wonder why Ivy league schools would use this book and why was it selling for over $200 back in 2006 ? Was it just because the author was a professor at Harvard or are there new miraculous insights into the "dismal" science ? To find some of the answers read the book. Especially the 2006 ed. or earlier below $5. Knowledge for knowledge sake.

  • principles of economics

i like economics, the book is easy reading and a very good price i hope to use some of the concepts to teach with...........................................................................................................................

  • Good book even for non-business majors

This book has been purposely made with large margins for students to take notes. There are quock quizzes at the end of every section to help students re-enforce the material read in the section. I would recommend this book for any beginner level Economics course.

  • Very fast delivery, thans for the sale.

The book is what I asked for and I got it. However, there were a lot of scribble marks in it like a child used it as a coloring book. None the less, the information was readable and that is all that counts in my book.
