About this product
Product Information
English summary: Erwin Wexberg, disciple of Sigmund Freud, Alfred Adler and Emil Redlich, played a pivotal role in the cultural tradition of the 20th century. His works mirror the variety of research in individual psychology in the early 1920s. Wexberg's theories and taxonomies are said to be the most important amongst individual psychologists. Wexberg's works are defined by his causal determined approach of a natural scientist completed by his critical, individual psychologist's eye. This led to his findings, which show an astonishing proximity to today's view on integrated psychosomatics. Against the Zeitgeist, Wexberg did not join in the quarrel amongst schools. He stood out through his independence, open-mindedness and flexibility in thinking. He held Freud's work in high regard for his entire life.. He approached Freud's work critically but without prejudices. Wexberg believed that absolute truth does not exist and that science should always be open to new findings. Pictures and letters that have been unpublished until today illustrate Wexberg's impressive life. German text. German description: Als Schuler von Sigmund Freud, Alfred Adler und Emil Redlich steht Erwin Wexberg im Schnittpunkt bedeutender Kulturtraditionen des 20. Jahrhunderts.
