Get some great ideas here.
I have several, if not all, of Ms Begoun's books. This one left me just a little bit dissatisfied as it seemed more focused on her products than her other books. One must remember that she does not have any degrees or real education on the subject she writes about....these are her opinions. I respect them for the most part...especially as she does compare the more costly items with those that the majority of folks will be interested in....especially in this time of economic slow down. I would surely recommend you get this if you can get it at a discount price...try eBay or Amazon....some great reading.I have several, if not all, of Ms Begoun's books. The only book you'll ever need on beauty
I really wanted this book, and thought perhaps I could find a good deal on one on eBay. I sure did. When I received the book I think I left feedback to the seller saying I am the "happiest buyer on eBay" or something to that effect. That is exactly how I feel about this book--the day I received the book made me the happiest person in the entire eBay community. It is a great book, and getting a good deal makes me a happy camper. Why? I think it is the best book ever written that tells a woman every thing she ever wants to know about beauty products and/or techniques. What is good, what to stay away from. Helpful hints. Ways to save money. I devoured the book from cover to cover, which is highly unusual for me to do as soon as I receive any book. But I culdn't ... Once I got started, I kept reading on and on. But you don't have to read it from cover to cover, the way I did. You can start any place. But I can now go back and re-read anythng I want to go back and revisit. It is logically arranged, and it is really easy to find any topic on anything on beauty. Well worth the money! A good investment in your time, too. Also this book is entertaining, and not boring. It keeps my interest any time I pick it up and get absorbed in any subject. Boy, I sure learned things! I would recommend it for any woman of any age. It would make a great gift too. I would recommend it as a gift for anyone who wants to learn more about things she may have questions on. It would be great to give as a gift to any teenage girl or young adult girl, too. She would appreciate it. This will remain a favorite reference book in any woman's library.

Best "beauty" book!
Informative, useful, interesting, life-changing. It gives accurate, clear, and detailed information about the skin and about the products that we put on our skin, without even imagining how ignorant we are about such products. This book is here to answer questions that no other "beauty" book that I've read has answered. A must-have if you are on a quest to look your best! Although Paula does include some of her product reviews, this book only has some brands. If you are looking for a more extensive list of products, the latest edition of Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me is more "complete" in that respect. Can't have it aaaaall in one book.Informative, useful, interesting, life-changing. Read your beauty scriptures...
