    Compelling reading

    This book traces "Black Baseball" from its origins in the 1800s in different parts of the country. Emphasis is given to the Cuban influence as well. Interesting and factual reading.

    Great Book - A Keeper.

    Great Book. Dr. Hogan. is one of the best living historians on the subject. The book is well written and has many photos from his personal collection not often seen in other books on the subject of Negro League Baseball.
