I love this version better than the original. Looks better on VHS anyways :-)

Horror fans need to see this version of the film.
Like many hard-core horror fans out there I've seen The Exorcist many times, but this version gave even me a start. This movie should have been released like this into the theaters at the time. It would have created even more of a stir. Most of the deleted 11 minutes of scenes and images are psychological in nature, building suspense; however one scene which was cut really made my heart skip a beat! I won't mention it so as not to spoil it for anyone who might like to buy the film. This tape is not so rare that you can't locate a copy. Get it. It will be a worthwhile addition to your horror collection.Like many hard-core horror fans out there I've seen The Exorcist many times, but this version gave even me a start. I love the movie the exorcist. It will always be one of the scariest for me. I wanted the extended version to get all of the back ground and see all of the out takes that I have seen as bits and pieces. It explains everything but is takes too long to watch it all. Now I know why they made so many cuts to change the rating and the scenes that they felt were not necessary. If you love the exorcist then purchase this version.
