    The ir nikon

I use the camera With a tamron 18-200 mm lens and it works great and i get the photos like i want them. Autofocus works great and its easy to use. I have tried it With some other lenses and they also work great. I have tried nikon 70-200 2.8 and tamron 150-500. I also have à sigma 15-24 2.4 lens but i get à hot spot with this lens. I can tell you to try the ir photografy and start IT now in the summer. If you have à blue sky and à few clouds lots of sun and some water it will give you best photos.

  • D70 is now an oldie ... but certainly a goldie!!

Although i have a new Nikon D3100 i wanted to "go back in time" to the D70 as it has a faster flash sync speed than just about any other non pro DSLR. I take many images for web and magazine publication of motorcycle trials riding, and most of the events are held in woodland so the fast flash sync is brilliant on this camera.. enabling me to capture the bikes at speed but in the relative darkness. The D70 is larger than the D3100 and this actually makes it easier to use when wearing gloves to keep the cold at bay!! And of course the price and availability of the AF lenses is much better than the lenses needed on the modern DX models as they don't have to have the motor inside the lens. Only minus point i can think of is that the rear screen is very small compared to ...

  • Nikon D70 Review with personal opinion

Very good. It let us use older AF lenses without DX technology. Not an high end camera though I have already captured hundreds of great pictures. The fact of having a APS-C sensor disappointed me in the way it cannot deal with larger pictures as a full frame or 35mm film one, though for the quality / price ratio, it is amazing. Hopping to have one since late 2004, now I have it. Recommend it for amateur photographers who do not want to spent lots of money in a newer one. Wise lenses select must be made. I have a 50mm f1.4 Nikkor AF (which is equivalent to 75mm in an APS-C camera) and I am satisfied. I wish you nice deals! Regards!

  • Legendary Nikon quality with excellent value for money

What can I say. Nikon, one of the worlds best cameras, especially in the "proper" camera class. The one thing I really like about this Digital SLR is the fact that virtually every lens ever made by Nikon will fit this camera. And as the quality of picture is determined by lens quality, with Nikon lenses you have the best! OK, so its bigger than a point & shoot pocket digital camera, but the quality of picture more than makes up for its size. OK, its an older model, but quite honestly, this will take photo's you will be proud of. The newer models will cost you an awful lot more for not much extra in USEABLE features. And don't forget, you get the Nikon "click" every time you take a photo!!

  • Nikon D70 6.1 Megapixel Digital Camera Body Only

I loved the build over similar Canons. It felt like a quality camera and was pleased to show it off. There is a lot of technology and not having an instruction book I found it hard to navigate the features. In comparison I've had a Canon 10D and 300D which I could pick up and get great images very quickly. The Nikon gets top reviews though. See Ken Rockwells review for the low down. I liked it though and for the price they are now its a bargain photo tool.
