    Sound great, direct replacement

    Our boat had a different model of Sony speakers installed already, unfortunately they suffered from being in the weather, the cones were cracked. I did a search for replacements, chose another brand and was very disappointed in the sound quality. I ended up buying two sets of these Sony speakers and could not be more pleased with the sound, they were also a direct fit as far as size and screw holes. All of that said, I will mention that I have no idea how old the existing Sony speakers were. I did find reviews that said these sound great but don't last long. I guess we will see?
