  • Wonderful debut release from this Seattle alt-rock band

WHERE HAVE ALL THE MERRYMAKERS GONE? is a wonderful debut release from Seattle's own HARVEY DANGER. Featuring the stellar alt-rock smash hit (and KNDD radio favorite) "Flagpole Sitta". Originally released in 1997, this Cd definitely stands the test of time...how do I know? Well, I've bought and sold the Cd now on 3 separate occasions over the last decade or so. In other words, I keep coming back and buying it! Besides "Flagpole Sitta," which is definitely the highlight of the Cd, other favorites of mine include "Carlotta Valdez," "Private Helicopter," "Problems and Bigger Ones," & "Jack the Lion". In a sense this debut release was a little ahead of its time in that it blends emo with alt-rock, sort of like a marriage of Dashboard Confessional & Nirvana! Lots of emotion blended with lots of ...

  • An enjoyable CD.

The lone hit on this CD is a great song; a perfect little bit of '90's social commentary. The rest of the album is pretty good too, but not outstanding. The bass playing, though straight-forward, drives the music. I know this comes from the anti-guitar solo era, but a hook here and there would be welcome.

  • Flagpole Sittah!

I bought this cd for the song title above. The only version available on i-tunes was on a soundtrack for some little kiddie movie, of which I had no interest in, and you couldn't just buy the one song, you had to get the whole cd. Therefore, I decided I would rather get the whole Harvey Danger cd. The cd is good enough throughout that I don't want to just eject the whole thing after I have finished listening to the one song. :)

  • Cd case came cracked like if truck ran over it. Cd was not very good as advertised

  • Where have all the merrymakers gone??

I finally got an Ipod for my birthday over the summer and I very much wanted "Flagpole Sitta" on my Pod. But the only song iTunes had was the little- kid version from the Scooby Doo 2 soundtrack, AND you had to buy the entire $10 album to boot!!! So I surf the 'Net and found a very worthy copy and put it on my Pod for a very worthy price!!!! :)
