    I believe that it is better than the normal DVD's, and was worth the money.

    I love Lord of the Rings and bought the normal DVD of the trilogy (in a store)as I was unaware of the extended version. When I saw the extended version of the trilogy it answered some unanswered questions, so I started to look for the extended version for a decent price. I found such a site and bought it. There was however a small hitch with the product, it came from the UK and I had not noticed any comment that it will only work on all region DVD players (if I had I probably would not have bought it) and not those that are programmed for regions out side of the UK. Luckily I can play it on my tv DVD player as it will not work on my computer DVD player. I would recommend it to any Lord of the Rings fan who has a DVD player that can play multiple region DVD's.

    All 3 film's in a nice & tidy box set.

    I bought this LOTR dvd box set as the dvd's are the same as you get in the collector's edition's that come with the figures & the extra 5th dvd. I now can leave those safe & sound & use these dvd's when i want to watch the film's.

    "The"film

    I have read Tolkien since I was a boy and I was curious when I heard a film was coming.I was not disappointed.I baught all the dvds.Now,the French editions are sold out and when my nephew ask me about buying the trilogy whe can't found one French edition, so I give it mines.After that I had to buy an English edition for me,it's not a problem for me.
