The Nikon Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 wide-angle lens gives you an opportunity to fine-tune your photography skills. Known for its excellent performance with outdoor street images and shots of buildings, the Nikkor lens reduces aberrations. The 35mm lens produces clear and crisp images. The aperture range of f/2.8 through f/2.2 allows you to capture ample light for bright photos. Seven aperture blades support the precision of this instrument with a 35mm focal length. If you are planning a trip to a scenic location, adding this Nikkor 35mm lens to your camera bag will produce pleasing photos. Buildings will appear properly vertical without the distortions often associated with images of big and tall objects. These lenses are known among photography enthusiasts for the effect known as bokeh, or the quality of out-of-focus areas of a photo. While this lens is a great one for family vacations, you can also use it to experiment on sites wherever you happen to be at any point in time. Capture beautiful fall colors, inspiring sunsets, wildlife, impromptu portraits, or scenes of city life.This lens is rated for a distortion range of plus or minus 2.5%. In some applications, distortion drops to 0.5% at infinity. An impressive result of 0.1% can be achieved at a 2-meter distance, or about 6 1/2 feet. Although most popularly known for its quality when used to shoot large subjects, the Nikkor f/2 also does well with portraits. The user should not have to worry about distortion at a distance of 1 meter, which is a little over 3 feet. Its minimum focus distance is 0.3 meters, which is just under a foot. Images of people taken outdoors will turn out well with the Nikon f/2 35mm. Nikon uses a super-integrated lens coating to aid in the transmission of light. This reduces issues with ghosts and flares in images. Additionally, these lenses have a close-range correction system to help you to develop techniques for improving your photo quality. It fits many FX and DX digital cameras as well as numerous professional 35mm cameras. Nikon designed it to work with any of its manual focus models, such as the Nikon D3. Other appropriate camera models include the D700, D7000, D7100, D300, D3, D200, and D800. An angle of view equivalent to a 50mm lens can be achieved on a DX camera. The solid construction of these Nikon Nikkor 35mm lenses means they will give you reliable performance for years. The filter threads, aperture control ring, internals, lens mount, and barrel are all made of metal. The focus ring is made of metal and has been covered with rubber. Weighing 8.4 ounces, or about half a pound, the Nikon f/2 can be used with 52mm filters. The optical elements are separated into five groups. The Nikkor f/2 has been only slightly changed as new model designs were released. Differences among model years are considered minor in these Japanese-made 35mm lenses.
