Disney's Robert Louis Stevenson's kidnapped DVD.

Robert Louis Stevenson wrote Treasure Island and 3 years later he wrote Kidnapped, so it makes sense that this movie (Kidnapped) is similar to Treasure Island. It is about a young man named David. The story starts off when David's father dies, and David has to now live with his uncle. David soon finds out that his uncle is not a kind man, and he is poor. David inherited the house in which his uncle lives in, but he is not willing to part with the house. The uncle tricks David onto a ship. Once David was on the ship, his uncle sailed away leaving David behind. David must find his way back home inorder to claim his inheritance. This Leads to a journey on the high seas, and on land. He eventually makes it back home, where he tricks is uncle into admitting that he had David kidnapped. In the ...

  • Disney's movie Kidnapped 1960's version

I hadn't seen this movie in a very long time but decided to add it to my Disney movies collection, I am glad I did, I saw actors I haven't seen in years kind of like seeing old friend from long ago. Would like to get the 1970's version as well. I may purchase it later sometimes down the road. If you want the older Disney's movies for your collections I would recommend this one.

  • KIDNAPPED

When Disney decided to do Robert Louis Stevenson's Kidnapped in 1960, they managed to turn a classic novel into an enjoyable movie that lasts only about one and half-hours. The real genius of this film is that it captures scenes right out of the book, while bypassing some of those more tragic moments that depicted the bitter conflict between the English and the Scottish Highlanders. In other words, the film made you feel like it did justice to what Stevenson wrote without being too harsh on younger Disney audiences. Actually filmed in Scotland, Kidnapped has a lot of wonderful scenery.

  • A very good Disney Movie

Nothing compares to a Disney film like this . We used to watch this on The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights . No other film of Kidnapped comes close to this one . Just seeing Peter O'Toole in one of his first Movie is pretty great . When I saw this for sale , I had to buy it . Did not want Disney to put it back into the vault. We will treasure this movie and will watch it again

  • Worth seeing again!

This was when Disney live action movies were peaking with Disney British productions. Great adaptation and the Peter O'Toole cameo is great fun!
