    DD-2 Very nice delay and fun too

    The Boss DD-2 is a very well built and easy to use digital delay. The DD-2 "Japan circut" as it can be called, is one of the best variations in the Boss DD line. Inherently quiet and smooth. The price can be a bit steep for a DD-2 and not sure if it is worth paying high retail for one. If the price is right, it's a fantastic pedal and worthy of space on any pedal board. Some early DD-3s may have the same circuit as the DD-2, but I have not had an early one in hand to compare. Just love my DD-2!

    Boss DD-2 is the quintessential delay pedal

    This is THE original DD-2 from Japan, made in 1984 (older than myself). I bought this to replace the DD-5, I am a huge fan of having vintage gear in my line-up (along with some good modern ones like the Korg Pitchblack tuner and Boss PH-3 Phaser) and the only thing this baby is going to do is appreciate in value and make your rig sound simply amazing with no tone coloration. The A/D filter has a flat response between 40Hz and 7kHz, and has been described as very "analog". It's not the most flexible delay in the world, it can only go up to 800ms basically nothing else besides the Hold function which is interesting...example: play a bass note, press the pedal down immediately and play over the note. I have a Digitech Whammy WH-1 (another classic) and the 2-octave portamento is echoed ...

    Old School Delay

    I used one of these many moons ago as a young guitar slinger and moved on in the 90s to a later version. I heard the chip was desirable in the DD-2 so I sprang for the old girl. Turns out it does have mojo. Something about the pedal really brought me back the second I stomped on it. Something slightly narrow-banded about it makes it focused, expressive and dimensional. Haven't A/B'd it, but I'm happy enough with the sound to just go with it.

    old school classic delay! Great for slide,solos and rockabilly!

    This is my favorite old school classic digital delay. it is so glassy and transparent and adds so much depth when playing slide ala Brother DUANE. stereo output to a second cabinet across the stage and you sound like Live at the Fillmore. Its alot less dinero than an Echoplex and gives a classic sounding alternative! Set it at a thick slapback, as opposed to a quick tight rockabilly slapback. check it out and rock on!

    Great product!

    The DD-2 is worth the extra $$. I replaced a DD-7, which was ok, but this definitely has more of a vintage delay sound.
