About this product

Product Information

ABC's popular and enigmatic drama comes to gamers in the form of Lost: Via Domus, although series fans looking for answers to the show's mysteries may be out of luck. While the plot of Via Domus intertwines with that of the first two seasons of Lost, the main character is a previously unseen Oceanic 815 survivor named Elliot, and, due to a bad case of amnesia, even Elliot doesn't know who he is. In true Lost style, playable flashbacks let gamers help him piece together his memory, and the game is handled episodically, with each chapter featuring a recap and a mini-cliffhanger.

More adventure than action, Via Domus often finds Elliot solving puzzles, like helping Jack stem the flow of jet fuel from the plane, or tinkering with fuseboxes to open doors. Elliot, a photojournalist, can take pictures throughout the game as well, and will be required to do so during flashbacks in order to piece together events leading up to his arrival on the island. However, fits of action do come in the form of frenzied escapes from the frighteningly powerful Black Smoke and dodging bullets fired by the Others. Gamers must also barter goods with many of the show's mainstays, and exploring familiar locations like the Swan Station and the Black Rock will help players unravel Elliot's mysterious story, and bring him one step close to finding a way home.

  • LOST game doesn't quite live up to the show

The graphics were kind of cool. I found it mildly interesting. One thing to remember is that this game was made following season 2 so they didn't know as much about the show as we know now. The game is short, and has silly repetitive tasks one must perform. For example the recurring flashback scenes. You would be placed in a repeating scene with a camera, in order to remember you have to take a snapshot of some part of the scene in exact time, exact frame, exact focus before you can advance any further, this keeps recurring with different scenes at different parts of the game. How retarded is that? And also the fuse panels, you have three different types of fuses you could put in this panel with many sockets, and you have to place the correct fuses in the correct places and rotate ...

  • Lost: Via Domus (PC Games, 2008)

This game follows the storyline of the series somewhat. You play a new character that was not in the series, interact with characters that were in the series, and explore parts of the island while trying to recall your identity. The game doesn't have much replay value and is a little short in my opinion, but was worth the money for a die hard LOST fan like myself. You need a gamepad of some kind to make game play easier. I found the keyboard and mouse much too frustrating to use. Hopefully you found this review helpfull. Good luck!!!!

  • Awesome! Can’t wait to play :)

  • Lost-a challenging game.

This game is great for LOST fans who can follow the story line and know the characters involved. It is hard to play in that the character you play has memory loss and must find a way off the island not knowing the dangers. If you die once it's game over and start as the same person again, but if you get off the island the game will give you a rare glimpse of a show scene that did not make TV.

  • Lost for PC

Well you have to have alot of memory to run this game and even install it. I have tried three computers and one portable hard drive and its still not enough memory. The game is realistic and anyone who likes Lost the Tv show, will enjoy this game on any console..I got this game so I can play Lost when I am in the mood for thinking...
