The Sigma 19mm f/2 DN lens is designed for digital SLR cameras that are manufactured by Minolta and Sony. The Sony APS-C camera won't tilt after you mount the Sigma DN in place because the lens is only 16 ounces.Since this Sigma DN f/2 is slim and compact, the design elements are simple and practical. Along the bottom of the housing, there is a thin, ridged dial that changes the focus. Above this mechanism, you’ll find the product’s design specification printed on a solid strip of plastic. Over this divider, another spinning mechanism runs around the base. This dial is much larger than the mechanism that's found underneath the solid divider. On the top of the base, the housing has several indented grooves that give the housing character.The technical specifications make the Sigma DN a great 19mm tool for travelers. The entire product fits nicely in a backpack because it’s just 2.4 by 2.4 by 1.81 inches. As you use the lens at the travel destination, you’ll never miss ideal opportunities to capture great moments. Once you press the dedicated shooting button on your camera, the micromotor in the lens will activate. This technology snaps objects fast, and quality doesn’t suffer because the Sigma has a 19mm focal length. Thanks to the highly efficient mechanical components, the Sigma DN 19mm lens always operates efficiently. It has seven diaphragm blades, eight elements, six groups, and a unique mechanism that provides a f/22 aperture.When the hardware components and the technology in this lens work together, typical images are transformed into professional photographs. Each time an image is shot, the three glass 19mm lenses that are mounted in the housing go to work. These components enhance pictures by correcting issues that can cause color aberration and distortion. As the glass makes these changes, the inner focusing system carefully adjusts fluctuation levels to improve the image quality. Since technical problems can also ruin a photo, the Sigma has a solution for these situations as well. The Super Multi-Layer Coating on this lens is specifically designed to eliminate ghosting and flare during photo shoots. The special coating can boost an image’s contrast and sharpness levels as well.These 19mm mirrorless lenses by Sigma can be used confidently at elegant events.     Don't take my word...look at the rest of the ba-zillion reviews on this or either of the other two Sigma Art Series lenses made for the APS-C Sony. They all represent what is commonly thought of as the greatest and most stunning bargains in the photo industry. Evenly sharp, contrasty, compact as befits their application. Get 'em pre-owned for about $150 or new for a shade under $200. Low flare, low CA, very high sharpness and value, value value. Comes with a very, very nice bag. Golly...what's not to love? Stunning!     Great lens for pictures, not for recording.

    good lens! The picture quality is is better then other other focal lens like sony 20mm The only problem is the auto focusing in the edge of the frame when recording which i wanted to do with this lens. If pictures are the only thing you're going to take. then ill recommend this lens, for recording i would suggest to look for a different lens.

    Overall: Greatly pleased with this product.

    This sigma lens is great to use in any condition even in the dark. New version of this lens has a part of ring made of aluminum or sort of metalic part that makes whole product quality and appearance even better. I would like to strongly suggest thus item to any of my friend who got sony nex camera. It brings sharper image than the bulk one does as significant as you can actually feel the difference. And it is also very light to carry on.

    Unbeatable value for money.

    My go to wide angle for my A7RIII is the 16-35 which is a great lens that I mainly use for real estate photography. However, I wanted a smaller lighter lens for certain situations. For me the Sigma 19mm is perfect. I haven't done an extensive comparison of IQ yet but from what I've done so far it is certainly good enough. Th bonus is that is is so small and light I expect to use it extensively for travel photography.
