Buy it for the artwork and you won't be disappointed.
I bought the book for the art, and I was not disappointed. Jim Lee once again proves he is among the best of the best when it comes to comic book illustrators. Unfortunately, the story doesn't measure up to the art--character relationships are often unbelievable, their actions poorly motivated and their dialog needlessly indirect. It's difficult to believe that people would ever talk to each other the way these characters often do. Perhaps the only saving grace is the underlying plot--discovering the mystery of what is going on keeps the story moving along.I bought the book for the art, and I was not disappointed. Superman For Tomorrow Vol. 1 save your $$
The artwork in this TPB is the star. It is very well done. the plot is thin, and the ending (in Vol. 2) is really poor and unsatisfying. I am a lifelong Superman fan and encourage buyers to save their $$ and buy a different Superman TPB.
