Hours later they reposted it (same serial number) with a much higher price. When I messaged them to ask why they removed that listing, then almost a month later they posted it again (same serial number) at a higher price still listed as pre-owned (not refurbished/repaired). Dishonest seller in every way.

    I Expected Better

    This Sony , the first thing you will notice is that it gets very hot ,.. so you can't put anything on top of it . For Me , The Optical input drastically reduced the volume output connected to my TV. I pushed it up to about 50% which is more than I want to before I got that Theater sound . The Bass and treble are almost non existent or respond very poorly which is important if you want to watch a movie and hear crisp tink tink tink sound or thunder. This unit is also very difficult to set up. The manual is 99 pages long and without it , you are lost .. A lot of Presets that include such " Hold this Button for 5 seconds till this pops up then press this . The remote control is Awesome , HUGE almost 1 foot long . Great easy to see controls .powered by 2 AA batteries . Gold ...

    Sony STR-DG800 7.1

    The Stereo Receiver is a very good amp. Does it sound Good? - is not a question of the amp but the quality of the speakers. There is no hum or distortion through out its volume range. It is not the easiest of receivers to set up. You have to have its manual to fully understand what it can and cannot do. The manual is available online for downloading.  I am very pleased with the amp and would recommend it to you.

    Geat sound from a Sony?

    I'm pleasantly surprised on how good the sound is coming out of those two home made bookshelves speakers. So much so that I listened to it about 80«5 of the time. And that's saying a lot.
