        Great for adults!

        Had our Apple TV with no issues for over a year until we had our Grandson age 5 spend the weekend. Gave him the remote and showed him how to use it and he was on the top of the world watching all the kid shows. I left the room for 2 minutes to start making some breakfast and when I returned he had it in his mouth. I guess I forgot to mention to him to place it on the coffee table between cartoons! A few hours later the remote stopped working. The new one I purchased was running within seconds of taking it out of the package. Couldn't of been easier to get our Apple TV up and running again! Kept the old remote to use as a chew toy for my Grandkids!

        Remote works, bit flimsy and more lag compared to original

        This is an inexpensive version of the original remote. This one is a bit bigger, larger, lighter (plastic versus metal) and has some lag. The main concern I have is with the battery compartment. It is easily open able and reveals the button battery. Button batteries are dangerous for toddlers that can swallow them and was not an issue on the original remote, since it was so concealed. I put a piece of tape around the battery door to make sure little one in the house can't get to it. This generic remote probably wouldn't have met product safety testing if sold originally by Apple. For the price it is okay, but don't expect Apple quality.

        Genuine OEM replacement of appleTV remote

        Great remote. Even comes with anew battery. It is a genuine OEM Apple TV remote. If you get the remote and it will not work out of the package you need to program it to your appleTV. It is very easy to program but not as easy to find the directions. To pair with your appleTV simply hold down on the left direction button and the menu button at the same time for 6 seconds while pointed at the powered on Apple TV and you will get a confirmation that it is paired with your AppleTV that will pop up on the left side of your TV screen.

        A bit larger but performs OK.

        Item is a bit larger than the Apple original but that is not all bad (e.g., a little more difficult to loose). Functionally it works fine but it requires more precise pointing that the original which is a little annoying. Also it does not seem to have quite the range of the original, but that may be just another aspect of the pointing. Once you use it for awhile you get used to it, and all is fine.

        Definitely glad I got it

        Pros: Works instantly, no problems at all-no programming. I only got this to replace one that is lost and yet to be found. You can't beat that price and I'm overall probably more happy with it. I had rubber-banded the original to a paint stick and it STILL got lost (I have 4 kids), so this one will be easier to keep track of. Cons/Less than Pros: This is not really a problem for me, I've gotten used to it but it feels different. Being plastic it doesn't feel nearly as solid as the original and this makes the button response time SEEM slower but it's really not, it's just a little "bouncy" feeling. I'm frugal and don't have a problem adapting to a slightly different feel and I'm happy with this purchase.
