Ad Astra first rate Sci Fi

Heart of Darkness, Apocalypse Now. And now Ad Astra to add to another interpretation of this story. Brad Pitt was excellent as the restrained astronaut charged in finding his father, who has gone rouge in deep space and triggering EMPs threatening earth. The deeper in space Pitt goes, the more he loses some of his humanity as his father has. Good story and current space science.

    No 'WOW' Moment

I'm a Sci-Fi film addict always hoping for a great viewing experience. While the special effects were great I never had the 'WOW' moment I was waiting for. Ad Astra was an OK movie but I wouldn't watch it a second time.

  • Ad Astra Save Your Money

Ad Astra Save Your Money First of all, as in most Science Fiction movies, there were sounds of explosions. The only problem is you do not hear sound in space as space is a vacuum. Any 4th grader knows that. Secondly the acting was bad. This movie was so boring!. Brad Pitt's character didn't care about himself or anyone else and pretty soon I stopped caring about him too. Sorry. I don't understand others rave reviews. I love science fiction, but for me this movie just didn't cut it. At least it was cheap.

  • Ad Astra the movie

not a bad story line (son finds dad, Neptune, etc. (music's a bit less than 100% but still good) All in all, I would recommend it to any sci-fi buff out there. (Brad Pitt & Tommy Lee Jones & Don Sutherland dont make outer space movies but it works. Going to watch it again real soon! (still dont know what Ad Astra means...

  • Outstanding, thought-provoking film

Genuine science fiction film is uncommon today; it deals with the consequences of technological change. It's no wonder that "sci-fi themed" films are a lot more fun and popular. Ad Astra is the real deal, and it's a beauty, well-crafted at every detail and probably has enough depth and action to keep the attention of young adult and older audiences.
