    Excellent Ending to a Great Series

    This was my first introduction to Elizabeth Gaskell novels and she is one great English author with a plot within a plot, within a plot. This story line was very moving with lots of interesting characters. I enjoyed Cranford and Return To Cranford very much and if you like period pieces, both are a must to see. Great acting and wonderful location for filming the series. You were able to step back into that period to see how people lived and delt with all the many changes coming their way. All the characters showed you how they did not want to change, but in the end they were able to except change. Great ending!

    Great Conclusion to the initial episodes.

    I love these period movies. They are so much more entertaining than the majority of the films produced today. The actors really act and there is none of the vulgarity and nudity we see on the screen today. I am happy to add this to my collection for repeat viewing.

    Simple, Elegant and Full of Life

    I love period piece movies and tv shows. The women of Cranford know all the news. It's interesting to see how simple those times were and how little it took to cause scandal. What's trivial to us was everything to them and their way of life.
