    Harper lee-to kill a mockingbird.

    The book is a excellent telling of that period of time in the southern part of America. Why the people in the 21st century don't understand that language used in the book is there because that was how they spoke during that time. Schools that ban book's that are important and should be read just for some ractical words are denying students their rights to experience the knowledge that can only be found in these books. Please continue to read these great books through your library's or buying them online. A excellent book.

    Clunky reading, somewhat overrated

    This book can be challenging to get through - mainly because of confusing point of view at times, lots of history/cultural references readers are expected to already know. Not sure how likable any of the characters are. Great vocabulary words for high school students to learn.

    I love this book! Harper Lee had such a way with the English language. Her words transport you to a certain time and place in the South that I remember very well. Her characters are familiar and bring to mind friends and family lost in memory.

    I have not read this particular book; I bought it as a gift for Christmas for my grandson to start his own personal library. Read the story years and years back.

    Try reading this and find yourself changed for a lifetime.

    This book shaped my feelings and character. Excellent story that proves timeless to all generations. I think I it would be a great required choice for students to read in high school. Glad I found it used because it's much more expensive as a new book.
