        Unit is worth it to me.

        I was previously using the 8-channel NVR and knew I would eventually have to go to the 16ch. I have always looked at this unit and I eventually purchased it when I saw the price go down for the holidays. I was already running 8 cameras and needed to install a few more and I just needed to get this one as it had more ports for the additional cameras. The first thing I did to this unit was to upgrade the HDD to a 4TB purple. I saw in some reviews that others were complaining about certain issues, fortunately for me I have had none of those issues with my device. You can hear the fan running as you enter the room but if its a bother you can always swap it out with a quieter fan which I have done on my 3D printers.
