Great hat, fast shipping. Having said that, the straw version of a Stetson Open Road fits larger than the felt version. I recommend you size down 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch.

A size is a 3/8" (1 cm) range. You could just as easily have received one that was smaller than your felt. If you are considering sizing up or down you should check with your seller fisrt.
