    Nice to have back- ups!

    I do lots of shows regularly, as host & soundman I occasionally experience breakage of mic clips. Lots of performers pulling, jerking on them, and they snap in bags when transported too. These are as good as any I have used, and very affordable!

    Adequate after I worked on it.

    This mic holder appears to be good quality, but I couldn't tighten the top part enough to keep it stable. Something in the design wasn't quite right. I had a gig the same day it arrived, so I had to Mickey Mouse it in my shop first, to be able to use it that night. Mic holders are not rocket science, so you expect them to be ready to go right out of the box. This one wasn't. It worked OK after I messed with it, but I shouldn't have had to even touch it. As I recall the price was quite low, so, maybe you DO get what you pay for. I've used other Rockville equipment in the past, and it has always been reliable and affordable, but something as small as a mic holder can potentially ruin a show, so it kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

    Flexible clip

    This is a well made clip of flexible material for a typical mid size microphone. It allows for fairly easy insertion and removal of the microphone with ample clearance for the cable. It looks as though it will be ideal for those speakers and singers who insist on removing the mic from the holder. For overhead micing of instruments I will stick with a spring loaded clip for security.

    Great Price

    I bought this because I needed a couple cheap mic clips. It is sturdy but very slick and my mics slide out if they are not aimed directly upwards. Threads are solid but I don't like removing tape every time I need to change mics.

    Rockville Universal Microphone Clip - good value

    As the product title would suggest, this mic holder is a universal mic holder, and was purchased specifically for use with Shure SM57 mics in my home studio. I can see no reason to suggest a higher priced product, and would recommend this to anyone in need of a mic clip. It does the job as intended.
