I was looking for backup speakers in case my Adkins Professional 600 W had a problem. I am a karaoke host and the Adkins...total 1200 W speakers were my go to. They are now my backup speakers. These Rockville speakers, although much smaller and a total of 800 W, just totally blow away the Adkins. The sound is so much cleaner, and the volume can also go so much louder the my former. These are incredible speakers, especially for their size.

THESE LITTLE SPEAKERS ROCK!
I own Mackie's, EV's, and Peavey's, so I know about sound! I wanted a set of 8" monitors, but I didn't want to spend a lot or sacrifice on sound either! I decided to get these and I was impressed!!! These have great sound for the money, and they're are loud! Of course you will need a sub for serious bass, but these are definitely a steal at their price!

not well thought out i
build quality seem to be very low. The stopper for me is the inability to balance the volume from the powered speaker (pm200)to the unpowered speaker(pm100). tried multiple different cables but nothing made any difference. seems foolish to me to have something with two speakers that you can not adjust the volume of either one independently in order to balance the volume overall. it seemed like the unpowered speaker had half the volume of the powered speaker. increasing or decreasing the volume at the powered speaker also increases or decreases the power to the unpowered speaker with its volume dial at max(which only seems to be half the volume of the powered one) hence the inability to make them equalbuild quality seem to be very low.
