I have an original I bought directly from the artist decades ago. It has a small quartz crystal for the point, and is a soft shade of blue with the silver. This cheaply made copy has a glass 'crystal' for the point, and it's not even on straight! The paint is a murky blue, not evenly applied. Very disappointing. I promptly returned it, but it cost me postage to find out this is just an ugly copy.

The particular item I purchased is top heavy and has to be carefully balanced. I solved this problem by super-gluing a piece of walnut to the back of the base. It is really nice piece of art.
