Night Lights provided us with much more light than another brand of night light we tried.
When the lights in our kitchen stove hood stopped working, we needed something to light up the stove top area. Night Lights provided light bright enough to safely cook on our stove top. The On/Off switch is very easy to use. Luckily, we had an electric wall outlet above the cooktop so we could use a Night Light.

Ok. I didn't see it was 4 watts compared to my old one was only a half of watt. this also is an old fashioned incandescent build and not LED. It has a switch which I like so I can shut it off in the day, or it would stay on all day with the automatic styled ones. It lights up the whole room, too bright for me. If your not frugal about power and don't might a brighter light this will be fine for you. I am suspect how long it will last as its not LED like my last one from Walmart-$2 and lasted 5 years- LED/ Switched and only .5 of a watt. This one is "ok"Ok. These simple incandescent night lights get a great rating because their like are disappearing from stores. Everything is going to harsher LED or sometimes irritating automatic light/dark sensing night lights. Another advantage of these particular lights is that you can switch bulbs from clear to frosted. Yet another advantage is your ability to switch to 5W colored bulbs for the holidays--amber for autumn, green and red for Christmas, etc.These simple incandescent night lights get a great rating because their like are disappearing from stores. Good design, but too bright
I am generally pleased with this night light (as modified; see below). The light is well designed and the switch is easy to use. My only complaint is that the wattage is way too high for a sleeping area; it sends a glare into your eyes. I solved this problem by painting both the bulb and the shade with white paint (two coats).

Absolutely perfect :-) Best night lights I've ever had. Threw out all others. My bathroom and bedroom are very dark all day long and had to unplug the dimmed lit inefficient night lights. With these I just flip the switch. They give out excessive amount of light like no other. A must for nursery rooms and late midnight snackers. LOVE IT !!!! Highly recommend to everyone.
