    I loved this movie when I was a teen

    This movie is one of the best I have seen in my teens. I was then living abroad and the version I watched was an "uncut" ("uncensored") edition, way before these terms were widely used. The movie I got is an American release and therefore have had few scenes "deleted" - like the one where Horatio Hornblower undoes the lady's clothes when she falls sick. It is a very poignant sequence in which Horatio does his best to protect his lady's modesty. A piece of movie gem that was denied to the American public.
