Excellent noise cancelling performance around the home. I don't wear them outside, and reviews say noise cancelling isn't as good as the newest models in wind or very noisy environments, but it does an excellent job of blocking traffic noise through open windows or on the porch. Reviews say music performance could be better, but I've found it to be very good with mp3s and YouTube music videos. I find bass response to be good. It won't rock your head with the drums, but I can hear them.
