    A Gem Among Espionage Movies from the 1960s

    As much as I was enthralled by Dr. No and From Russia With Love in the 1960s, it wasn't until I saw The Ipcress File that I realized what I really craved about espionage dramas. The Ipcress File is a gritty, believable story, well-told and acted in an understated way, in the same genre as The Spy Who Came Into the Cold and the Quiller Memorandum.The soundtrack by John Barry helps make this movie a very class act.
