    Real review

    Although I was a skeptic with the price this is a very well built 2 piece pole with a nice real. I have used it twice down in the cape canal and it performed admirably. I would replace the live that comes on the spool because it doesn't specify lb on the packaging but other that go for it. I'm frugal when it comes to my fishing poles and refuse to spend 1000dlr on a combo. I always drop and break and over use my equip and for this price I can keep 4 of them in the trunk of my car.

    Casting weight is only .75-2.5 oz

    It’s described as a 10’ “surf” rod, but only has a .75-2.5 oz casting weight. If you’re looking to use a pompano rig in the surf, this may not be for you! Generally, you use 2-4 ounces of just sinker to hold your bait in place. Make sure this is what you really want before you buy. Otherwise, it seems well made. We will see how the reel holds up. Price can’t be beat though!

    Rod good, reel is garbage

    The rod is good quality, the reel is only a 1 ball bearing systems and is made of really cheap plastic literally fished with it 6 times before it stripped and its very hard to land a decent fish, if you can find the rod separately it's a nice heavy rod for the price but I do recommend getting a better quality reel for the rig.
