A must to avoid "long run" voltage drop during 110W TX..
The only way this OEM cable can be improved for 110 Watt radios is to start from scratch from a 4 Pin Molex plug, whereas dividing the strands of #8 Automotive grade red and black cable (both pins each) with heat shrink over the strands and 5/16 Heat shrink over the divided pairs of positive and another over the negative. I rarely have to do this but when longer runs than this OEM cable is needed, this is the way to go. I would like to suggest 30 amp Maxi "larger in size blade type"in line fuses and sealed/capped fuse holders (At battery) to minimize voltage drop on all makeups of these for all 110 watt and above applications including this one.
