After the enormous success of his 2004 documentary SUPER SIZE ME, Morgan Spurlock expands upon his concept to explore social issues in his new TV series, 30 DAYS. Each episode sees a participant living for 30 days in an unfamiliar situation, experiencing life in someone else's shoes and gaining insight into a very different life. Spurlock himself moves to Ohio to try to survive on a minimum wage, and a Christian conservative finds his prejudices challenged when he goes to live in a Muslim community. Homophobia, excessive consumer consumption, and binge drinking are only a few of the issues addressed.

    A wonderful insight on how others live in our country.

    I bought this DVD set because I really enjoyed the movie SuperSize me my Morgan Spurlock. It was an enlightening film and that is what I expected from this series as well. It did not disappoint me. This set of 6 hour long episodes peered into the lives of people in different situations. It was helpful to be enlightened about how some people live and how much more aware we need to be of issues such as our environment and how hard it is for people to make it if they are not earning a living wage. I would recommend this DVD set to anyone who wants to become more aware of aspects of our country that they are insulated from. It is also a useful viewing experience for those who need to open their minds more to the issues that many people face.

    This tv series is eye opening. Completely Awesome!!

    I'm a teacher, and I use this video in my American Government class to hit upon many different social issues. Morgan Spurlock does an excellent job of putting people in someone else's shoes. You have a much better appreciation for other people after watching these shows, plus they are entertaining. My students absolutely love them!

    A real eye opener!

    We loved this series. It allows you to put yourself in someone else's shoes for 30 days and it's intense! A great show to learn a little empathy and help you not be so quick to judge people. Educational, facinating and well done. I'd make it a mandatory class in high school! Can't wait for season 2!

    30 Days from the creator of Super Size Me

    This 2 disc DVD set contains the entire first season of 30 Days. This shows consists of 45 minute mini-documentaries on various issues Americans face every day. In each epsode a normal everyday person steps into the life of someone opposite of them in lifestyle habits for 30 Days. These 30 Days changes the lives of those who experience their different lifestyle. I thought provoking and eye-opening experience for the viewers. A must see!

    Very Interesting

    I love the show 30 Days and this set is fantastic! Morgan Spurlock really takes his time to hit on important facts and real life when making/living these shows. It's great to look into other peoples lives and it makes you less judgmental or narrow minded about things.
