    Cold war nonsense.

    I think it is more comical than like modern humor. It was kind of silly, but everything eventually fits together. Grahame Green is a celebrated author and that shows through. I would say to give it a try. It is a short novel so you wouldn't be putting a lot of time in it and probably not regret having read it.
