Annie Ruth Watson is the daughter of Big Sid Watson, the biggest, blackest farmer in Tobacco County, Georgia. The year is 1960 and her senior year of high school lies ahead. After that ... who knows? In Alabama, a young black preacher named King has been giving hope to unvoiced dreams, and Annie Ruth's parents are determined to send her to college.     The family of this young lady knew she was the one to do well in life. Therefore, she would outshine the others.

    The story line is relatable. Young girls have to make these decisions every day, The Author is a dear friend of mine and i love all her stories. i bought these 3 books for the ladies in my book club.
