When noted author and New Orleans native Bruce Spizer published his final book about the American records from the Beatles back in 2007, many thought he was finished with this type of publication. Behold - he strikes again with yet another winner! This time, it is called "Beatles For Sale On Parlophone Records", an exhaustive yet informative piece of work that covers all the stories about the Beatles records released on the Parlophone label in the U.K. Just like the prior books about Vee-Jay, Capitol, Apple and Swan, this book contains full color and original black-and-white images of all known existing album covers, picture sleeves, record labels and other items pertaining to these releases. The book details how all of the recordings released by the group during that time were written, ... Book worth it's weight in gold
This ok is full of invaluable information when determining which issues Beatles UK records. Matrix and catalogue numbers and excellent pictures of a great mix of genuine labels. Of course, it is all Beatles material.

I'm a great fan of Beatles, inspite of my 58 years. I have a lot ot Beatles albums and I wanted to know all about their records - numbers of pressings and matrix, changes in logo and artwork, missprints, prices etc I was born and live in Moscow. My friend Yuri Grishin published here 4 books, like this. About Vertigo Label, Island and others... It was great research and I compare it with this book.I'm a great fan of Beatles, inspite of my 58 years. I have a lot ot Beatles albums and I wanted to know all about their records - numbers of pressings and matrix, changes in logo and artwork, missprints, prices etc I was born and live in Moscow. Amazing, encyclopedic Beatles reference
This amazing book may well have been titled "Encyclopaedia Beatallica". It has everything one could ever hope to know about the original UK Parlophone/Apple issues of Beatles records, augmented with relevant non-UK releases, background information on each recording, and a wealth of other information. This book is much larger and thicker (and heavier) than one would suppose just from an online glance. It is thorough and scholarly.This amazing book may well have been titled "Encyclopaedia Beatallica".
