I've only known of infamously of she was greatest mexican painter lifestyle plus her infamously hubby of Diego Rivera. When she was just teenager, Frida Kahlo was involved in a horrific small bus collision that forever changed the course of her own life. Often confined to her bed, Frida Kahlo found solace in painting her own image from a mirror that hung above her. These early self-portraits paved the way to the establishment of Kahlo's signature autobiographical subject matter. Her tumultuous marriage to Diego Rivera, Mexico's preeminent muralist of the day, and the emotional painfully she endured as a part of that union also figures prominently in some of her most celebrated works. From her steadfast support of left-wing politics to her explosive too sexuality and her extraordinary ... LOVE it!!
This video contains actual grainy footage of Diego and Frida. I wish I'd had this video when I was writing my research paper! I would say that a few parts are appropriate for viewing by a class or children, however, there are several portions that are NOT appropriate. Keep that in mind. For your own viewing entertainment, it is excellent.

Frida Kahlo: It's good but be carteful...
This Frida Kahlo documentary was very interesting and well worth the modest purchase price. We learned a lot from it. However, graphics descriptions of her sex life make it inappropriate for children or students.
