    Lincoln timelly today

    I bought this DVD because I had loved the book and had seen the miniseries years ago. I loved seeing it again and found it timely in respect to all the comparisons between Lincoln and Obama. Both Sam Waterson and Mary Tyler Moore were believeable in their roles as Abraham and Mary Lincoln.

    Superb

    This is the best movie about Abraham Lincoln I have ever seen. Sam Waterston does an excellent job and Mary Tyler Moore seems to channel Mary Todd Lincoln to a T. This version is by far better to the recent Lincoln release and is a must for any Lincoln fan.

    A Great Feel for Lincoln

    I saw this when it first aired, and I could see the producers and actors had committed to projecting and telling a story that is not a a glamorous biofilm, but one that is competent and conveys the heart of the man.
