About this product

Product Information

Luxoflux invites grown-up players back for another game of "good cop (or) bad cop" in this follow-up to 2003's L.A.-based action-adventure. As in the original True Crime, players take the role of an unorthodox law enforcement officer, and by their actions and in-game choices, determine the character's morality as they play through the story. In True Crime: New York City, the hero is a former gang member named Marcus Reed, who uses his hard-knocks schooling to powerful effect in the gritty underworld of the Big Apple. As in Streets of L.A., New York City missions play out in freely-roamed, GTA3-style environments, stocked with plenty to see and do even when Marcus isn't working towards a specific mission goal. Key characters are voiced by accomplished screen actors, including Christopher Walken, Laurence Fishburne, and Mickey Rourke, with Marcus Reed portrayed by Avery Waddell.

    AWESOME

This classic True Crime Of New York is one of my old time Favorites! You can be a good Cop or a Bad Cop! Graphics are Awesome for the Year of this game, it's kinda like Saints Row or GTA except you play as a cop & fight Crime! It's a Hit! Love this! Game Thanks for creating another exciting fun packed action game! Arrival was quick & packaging was great! Perfect 5 stars☆

  • Great game! Little too dark for some people

and by dark i literally mean dark, this game is set in very dark settings and in the city of new york. Compared to the 1st truecrimes that was set in sunny LA. The graphics have improved but they look kind of rough to me so thats why I cannot give it 5 stars. Although the 1st game did not look real it was very smooth. This game is fun however the fighting moves are not as great as the 1st game. In the 1st game youre an asian guy who knows martial arts. But in this game you are a black man who simple does simple punches and kicks that he learned from the streets and police. Same basic gameplay but with extra features! for exmaple if theres domestic problem in a hotel or something you have to find which door it is arrest the victums. there is also bomb defusing! Another cool ...

  • PS 2 True Crime: NY City the good and bad

The main thing I like about this game is the free play. Ride around the city finding trouble and then making brutal arrests. The only bad thing about it is if children manage to get their hands on the game and it is not too hard my kids have done it once now. The gaming story is also great showing clips as you go, makes for an interesting game play. This game has a feature that you are seeing more and more in game play now slow motion when you are focusing allowing critical shots. Over all the game is a good game with lots of violence, bad language and total corruption. I cannot wait for one to come out on PS3 with higher resolution and new stories. I purchased this game because my kids broke my other one and it’s a must have for the true crimes collection. Thank You...

  • Better then GTAs and True Crime LA - By Player 37

What i like over all is that (different of GTA series) here we play a cop. Marcus Reed could be a good or a bad cop if you like. Good points are: -the hero is a genuine NY cop (well, like the movie cops at least) -You can buy some weapons, cars, maneuvers, and techniques at the Police HQ, or all along the city - in the city you can buy cars, clothes, medicines, weapons, even haircuts. -Several cars to play and buy, you can take any car (or truck) that you wish to drive, can buy some cars at dealerships. -You can learn fight techinques at cities Dojos, helpful to fight agaist some enemies. -There are markets, drugstores, hotels for you restore your life gauge. -non letal weapons - if you want to bust criminals and gain more points and money. -Car races thru the city. -Some ...

  • The closest game genre as to the Grand Theft Auto Series 6/10

When I first heard about this game I thought it was going to be another attempt to beat the GTA Series. But after playing it after a while, it's completely different in most aspects. You can do most of the things like you can in GTA prior to San Andreas but: you can go into buildings and interact with restaraunts, clothes, etc. Be a good cop or a bad cop. The visuals are crisper which is really a plus visually. I would have to say I give this a game a 6/10, mostly for visual, controlling is not as simple as GTA, but it still is a fun game for what it's worth.
