    It's not a game, it's a lifestyle.

This game was my favorite growing up, and I still consider it the best video game from a movie to ever grace this earth. The ability to unleash the wrath of Aragorn on the evil orcs is a feeling that cannot be matched by anything of this earth. My hands still tremble as I feel the power coursing through Gandalf's staff in righteous rage against the armies of darkness. Legolas' arrows still fly with the holy and unhindered velocity I remember as a child. Samwise Gamgee's loyalty still brings me to tears as I fight through the webs and mandibles of the wicked spiders to defeat Shelob and save Frodo. Gimli still causes my controller to quake with every thundering blow of his mighty axe. The droves of Sauron's foot-soldiers stood no chance against my experience and skill from years of training ...

    Poor quality disc

Game randomly stops working past the first level, it will crash if you try to open some of the special feature items.

  • Good Multiplayer

My wife and I were looking for two player games and thought we would give this one a try. You can't control the camera and the control is kind of jumpy/can't customize the controls either. Those are my only two complaints. Over all it is a challenging game, slow paced at times, but the graphics make up for it. It would be nice if you didn't have to start over at the beginning of a section if you die but I guess that is part of the challenge as well. I do think it is better as a multiplayer than as a single player game.

  • LOTR Return of the King

This is one of the very few movie-based games that I really enjoyed (Spiderman 2 being the other one). The fighting is very well done, with each hit feeling good and heavy, and the (very) light RPG elements add a nice touch to upgrading and leveling your chosen character. Whilst this is a decent action game, it is no God of War, and Fans of the movies/books will probably get more out of it then non fans. If you only ever get one action game, then this probably won't be it. But I like the game, it's good fun, and definitely worth playing.

  • The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King

The Lord Of The Rings is one of the best trilogies in history. Book, film, and especcialy game. This game gets a perfect 10 out of 10 if it doesn't go all the way to 11. The graphics are incredible, nothing short of significant. What other LOTR game lets you play as the whole Fellowship(Faramir as a replacement for Boromir)? The bosess are great. Shelob, Gorbag, The Witch-King, Sauron's Lieuteniant, The King Of The Dead, The Nazgul, and even Gollum. The bonus missisons, Palantir Of Saruman & Palantir Of Sauron, are incredible. The Hobbits On Gaming featurette is hilarious. If that's not eneough, it has the voice of the film actors and footage & music from the movies. Miss this epic at your own peril.
