Good purchase for the price i purchased it at.
I purchased the Sanyo Dwm400 DVD Player because mine quit working and i saw this one for sale. Actually this brand name was the very first DVD i had purchased years ago. I like the fact that it's pretty simple to use. I have purchased other models of DVD players and in comparison with them and the Sanyo, the Sanyo doesn't have the option of going back to the same place of the movie you left off if you had to turn off the movie before you finished watching the whole thing. I loved that feature on the other DVD players i have had.I purchased the Sanyo Dwm400 DVD Player because mine quit working and i saw this one for sale. Great Picture Quality & Sound Features
I love the different formats you have available to play DVD/VCD/MP3/Kodak Pictures etc... The best feature is the hard to find TV Guardian to filter out bad language out of DVD movies. I must admit after using the TVG (older technology) that it does not filter as good as expected on movies. Also the DVD Player freezes with some movies.

The reason that I bought the Sanyo DVD player was for the guest room as our grandson is here occasionally and with the TVG it was perfect. We have a Sanyon DVD/VHS and it has been very dependable and we love it BUT this one has only worked about once or twice. I read someone elses review of this same model and they said that it freezes up, which apparently is what this one has done. It will not do anything but turn on and off and take the cd in and out, that's it. I hate to think of all the money that I spent on it and the shipping, makes me sick and I definiely would not recommend buying a used one! I bought it for my boyfriend because he wanted a t.v. guardian to block out offensive language from movies. I love the fact that it is so user-friendly and fairly easy to set up. What I don't like about it is that it doesn't work with your current dvd player. Unlike the box t.v. guardian (which is no longer produced) it has to replace it. It also does not work with closed-captioning on his t.v., but that is probably because his t.v. is old.
